What’s your favorite gay bar in the city?
I’m gonna say that right now i really enjoy The Hose. It has a great vibe with an interesting mix a people, and it’s relatively close to the theater. Also, Nowhere bar is pretty great for similar reasons. They’re both low-key, unpretentious, and always a good time.

"I want to be in that pool every night," laughs Andy Pellick, one of the male performers. "It is a lot to learn. It’s a lot more dangerous than you would expect, not because the Mylar is going to break, but [because] there are four people and it’s very slippery and there’s water and you just have to be aware of everything going on. But it’s so much fun."
As if scantily clad men getting all wet weren’t enough, another part of the show has been changed to reflect the same-sex demographic that will be flocking to Boys’ Night. Near the beginning of the show, there’s a segment where a fixture (which the actors call the "TV") is lowered over the crowd. It’s full of water and has a woman inside and a man hanging from a harness below it. In a futile but sexy dance, the two try to kiss but are always separated by the glass. The men in the cast now know both parts of the dance-the, ahem, top and bottom-so that the act can score some additional queer points.
Binder, who was also the producer of James’ previous installation, De La Guarda, says the gay events at that show were always the most fun. "Those Boys’ Nights were always thrilling experiences; they were always the most fun and the most intense," he says. "FuerzaBruta is a great big party with some huge toys, and some of our huge toys are for the boys."
But is the cast ready to be leered at through a thin sheet of plastic? "My boyfriend is nervous for me," Pellick jokes. "It’s fascinating because doing the piece it’s not sexy at all."
